About Me

Hi, I’m Mike. My first steps into the counseling field began in childhood after an ADHD diagnosis and the sudden death of a close family member. Since then, at various points in my life, I have experienced the acceptance, understanding, and healing that grows out of an effective counseling relationship.

As a professional counselor, I deeply value providing a similar space for individuals looking for relief, clarity, hope, and healing. I believe our “true selves” can sometimes become buried beneath grief, trauma, and the other painful and confusing experiences we encounter in life. I find great joy in walking alongside someone as they navigate the path towards uncovering their authentic self and a more fulfilling life.

I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from UW-Oshkosh. Prior to my degree, I worked for many years in various areas of church ministry including education, business, music, and retreat programming.

Outside of the counseling office, I enjoy exercising, spending time with my partner, family and friends, lounging with my cats, and playing guitar.
