About Me

Hi, I'm Alissa. My passion is helping people find hope and meaning in their lives.  I have experience working with people who struggle with depression, anxiety, grief, suicidal thoughts, paranoia, major mental health disorders, and those in crisis.   

I value your unique story which provides a starting point to understanding where you were, where you are, and where you are going.  I incorporate Christian values, psychology, and compassion while challenging you to heal and grow along your personal journey.  I value the opportunity to walk alongside as you let go of what holds you back so that you can reach your greatest potential.  

I use a holistic approach to therapy because I believe that every aspect of your life contributes to wellbeing and overall contentment.  I use trauma informed, person centered, and strengths-based approaches to treating trauma and mental health challenges.  Some of the approaches I use are Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Internal Family Systems (IFS).  I am a level II Certified Clinical Trauma Professional and Certified Grief Therapist. 

In my personal life, I value my faith, my three boys, camping and being outdoors, music, a good book, and quality time with friends and family.
