About Me

Hi, I'm Joy. I am the mother of seven, and a grandmother of six wonderful children. I entered the counseling profession after successfully nurturing and homeschooling my own family. My life experiences are quite varied, but there has been one constant…I am a survivor. Having experienced the effects of childhood abuse, trauma, and grief, I understand the fear that can often accompany the inability to trust or confide in others.

It is a passion of mine to help others overcome difficulties in relationships and the fears of intimacy, while standing firm in healthy boundaries that you can choose to define. My strong faith in my Lord and savior, Jesus Christ, has often been the sustaining spirit that has created resiliency. I offer a space where you can be real, without judgment, and feel safe. I would be honored to walk alongside you as you examine the past, endure life's storms, while striving towards a brighter future.
