About Me

Hi, I’m Emily. I’m a Christian therapist who specializes in working with individuals 16+ years and older, as well as couples, to address issues such as anxiety, depression, relationship issues, life transitions, phobias, and women’s issues.

I conceptualize psychotherapy from a strengths-based, holistic, person-centered approach. This means I work collaboratively with my clients and choose counseling theories/tools that best fit their particular presenting issues. We consider all parts of you to see how we can achieve optimum well-being. The evidence-based modalities I gravitate towards include, but are not limited to, Attachment Theory, Cognitive Behavioral Techniques (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention, and The Gottman Method.

Being I have a specific passion for working with couples, I hold a level one certification in the Gottman Method for Couples Therapy. I’ve worked with couples on things such as communication skills, conflict resolution tactics, and fostering intimacy.

It is my goal to use an approach that is both gentle and direct to help you heal, grow, and create changes you wish to make. Overall, I want you to know that I’m here to serve you: meet you where you’re at, give hope and encouragement, and empower you to be the best version of yourself possible.  

When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my husband and children, hiking, traveling, drinking tea, and embracing the cozy side of a thunderstorm.
